Microneedling
Also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is an efficacious treatment that addresses:
• Fine lines
• Depressed acne scars
• Surgical scars
• Stretch marks
• Appearance of pores
• Uneven skin tone
• Textural irregularities
Microneedling is standard in anti-aging and overall skin health regimens and may be performed on any skin type or age. A series of three treatments, spaced four weeks apart is recommended for optimal results. Our Master Aesthetician adjusts needle depths to customize the best treatment for the patient, based on specific skin treatment goals.
This procedure includes topical numbing for patient comfort. A pen-like device with single-use, surgical quality needles are punctured into the skin at a rapid rate, creating thousands of microchannels reaching deep into the layers of the skin. This controlled method stimulates an effective bodily response that triggers collagen production, plumping and skin healing at an accelerated rate.
Patients are recommended to discontinue the use of exfoliating products, Vitamin C, and topical retinoid products one week prior to treatment for best results.
A patient may not be a good candidate for Microneedling if you have been diagnosed with Melasma or suffer from pigmentation issues.
Patients who are using topical acne medications or prescription retinol products must discontinue before treatment can be performed.
Patients who have taken Accutane must wait at least one year before treatment can be performed.
