What is Silishield?

It can reduce redness and discoloration, soften and flatten new and older hypertrophic and keloid scars resulting from surgical procedures, injuries, and burns. It contains SPF 30 sun protection, so scar recovery can go with you, indoors or out. It allows you to wear other products over it—such as makeup, lotion, or additional SPF protection.

How do I use BIOCORNEUM® to get the best results?
For maximum effectiveness, use BIOCORNEUM® consistently for the duration of treatment your physician advises.
Recommended minimum treatment time:
• new scars: 60 days
• older scars: 90 days

How do I apply BIOCORNEUM®?
• Ensure that the affected area is clean and dry.
• Apply a very thin, even layer two times a day (morning and evening) over the scar area.
• BIOCORNEUM® is quick-drying. Allow to dry completely.
• Once dry, BIOCORNEUM® can be covered with pressure garments, clothing, or cosmetics.
• If the affected area is subject to abrasion, it may be beneficial to repeat the application midday.
• Wait 15 minutes before sun exposure.
• For maximum effectiveness, BIOCORNEUM® should have 24-hour contact with the scar area for the duration of the treatment.
